ABOUT JDY THEATRE

PRODUCTIONS

JDY Theatre was established by a group of teens in the community in 2015. The group was led by theatrical director and playwright, Dan Petrenko, as well as the extremely talented Annabelle Kolomeisky, Nick Gordon, Max Baevsky, Lital Chernyi, Dana Turetski, Michal Petrenko, Orel Shikher, and several other young performers.

It is produced and funded by J. Projects. Currently, the company consists of more than 30 dedicated and talented actors, singers, dancers, and crew members.

It is a subsection of J. Projects, the Russian-speaking Jewish initiative at Schwartz Reisman Centre. It draws in and brings together Russian-speaking Jewish people through community events, celebrations, J. Academy Sleepover Summer Camp, and various leadership and networking programs for high school students, university students, and adults. J. Projects is generously supported by Genesis Philanthropy Group, UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, and the Jewish Agency for Israel.
